Design Principles for a Robust Operating Model
"This is an 'evergreen'. Although more than 10 years old it details the strategy execution challenge with data. Also a recent McKinsey report (https://www.mckinsey.com/capabilities/people-and-organizational-performance/our-insights/a-new-operating-model-for-a-new-world) draws the same conclusions: there a still a low percentage of companies that are successfull with strategy execution (~12-13%).
What we like about the article:
- conclusions are based on a large data set
- relation between ability to execute a strategy and financiel performance is detailed
- root cause for strong strategy execution is explained
What we don't like about the article:
